Young Achiever Award

One lovely sunday afternoon I recieved a call from Rtn. Keshav - the chairman for public relations- Rotary Club of Madras MidTown stating that their club (which belongs to the Rotary International Dist.323o) would like to honour me with an Young Achiever Award in recognition of my work in the field of counselling and because I run my own counselling centre Sampurn, which provides various types of counselling , psychological testing and also conduct soft skills training for schools colleges and corporates. He said that he needed my profile and that he would forward it to his club President. I was overjoyed! and almost immediately sent my profile to him. After about two weeks I again heard from the Rotary club saying that they have decided to confer the Young Achiever Award on me!! I was thrilled as the Young Achiever Award was to be my first recognition as a professional. So on the pleasant evening of March 16 2009, I along with my family entered Hotel Taj Connemera. We went up to the hall in which the function was to take place. I was asked to sit in the front row while my family took their seats among the Audience. The chief guest for the function was Past District Governor Rtn. Svrm. Ramanathan. In the dias were: The chief guest, Club President Rtn. K.B. Sridhar, PDG. Dr. C.S. Ramachandran and Annets Club President Ms. Ashrita Keshav.
Soon it was my turn to recieve my award I walked up to the dias and collected my award- citation in absolute delight. I could not & still Iam not able to believe that an young achiever award has been given to me . Then in my acceptance speech I thanked all the kind hearts who have shaped me into what Iam today. More specifically I thanked my teachers from Vidya Mandir, MOP Vaishnav and MSSW ,My friends who were my main source of motivation to start Sampurn, and my parents and my family.
Iam happy that through this award more number of people will be aware of Sampurn and its services and I see this award as the start point for the many awards that I may by God's
Iam ever thankful to Rotary Club of Madras Midtown(RI Dist 3230) for giving me my first recognition in my professional field. My heartfelt thanks to Rtn. Keshav and family to have thought that Iam worthy of such a prestigious award. Iam totally humbled by the love and affection they shower on me.
Once again I would like to thank one and all for supporting Sampurn and do seek your support for many more years to come in reaching out to those in need and "Making Lives Complete"!!
